My Marketing Philosophies
I believe that marketing is salesmanship in print. Every dollar spent on marketing should produce a return on investment. I believe the best way to do this is through direct marketing strategies and copywriting that sells. I do not believe in using traditional advertising. I do believe in using strong emotional writing without hype. Every claim or promise must be proven. Proof is even more important in today’s economy. And it should go without saying, but nothing illegal, unethical, or immoral.
I also believe that words sell, graphic design and images support the words. There are certain exceptions such as selling a young single guy a cruise to an exotic tropical location. The use of young women in various states of undress would likely work well to entice the prospect. Another example is a billboard for a local restaurant that has a giant picture of an ice cream sundae. These images create desire, most often though this is the exception to the rule: Copy is King.
